Retriever training is $490.00 per month. This includes monthly 
heartworm treatment and dog food. All veternary bills are the responsibility of the owner. There is a two month minimum for all dogs in training. We would prefer a dog stay for 3 months during their initial stay at Magnolia Retrievers.
The age the dog comes in for training varies for most dogs. Generally, between the ages of 6-8 months is the ideal time for retrievers to begin formal training.
Basic obedience is $430.00 per month, with a 1 month minimum.
Boarding is 8.50 per day.
Day training is $30.00 per dog.
During the first 3 months of training: The dog will go through obedience, force fetching, colloar conditioning, simple marks, steadiness and start double retrieves.
During the 4-6 months of training: This segment of the program focuses on the handling of your dog. The dog goes through pile work, simple t, swim-by, 3 leg lining patterns. Your dog will be doing marks, doing triples, marking drils and be successful.
After 6 months of training: The dog starts the transitional phase of training. This includes; pattern blinds with diversions, taught blinds, cold blinds, casting/lining drills, channel water blinds, cold water blinds and learn to honor. It's during this time we start doing more advanced marking test.
All dogs coming in for boarding or training must provide a up to date record of thier vaccinations. This includes the bordetella (kennel cough), rabies and Canine distemper, Infectious canine Hepatitis, Canine Parvovirus and Leptospira Canicola. If a record is not provided, vaccination will be administered on site for a nominal fee.
